Toothbrushing shouldn’t feel like a battle.

Less refusal • More cooperation • Calmer routines

If brushing teeth feels harder than it should… you’re not alone.

For many families, toothbrushing isn’t about laziness or “bad behaviour” — it’s about the texture, the pressure, and the feeling of something unfamiliar in a small, sensitive mouth.

Our Sensory Toothbrush was designed specifically for kids who struggle with traditional brushes, including those with sensory sensitivities or oral aversions. It offers a softer, more predictable brushing experience that helps reduce stress on both sides of the sink.

Soft, Flexible Bristles

Better Brushing, Less Burnout

Customer reviews

It’s time for a gentler approach to toothbrushing.

For many kids, brushing teeth isn’t a simple habit — it’s uncomfortable, overwhelming, and filled with sensations they can’t ignore.

Instead of pushing through resistance, we focus on tools that work with sensitive mouths and nervous systems, helping make brushing feel safer, calmer, and more manageable.

Harsh Bristles

Stiff brushes can feel sharp or scratchy, triggering instant discomfort and refusal.

Too Much Sensation, Too Fast

Strong pressure, big movements, and unfamiliar textures can overwhelm kids before brushing even begins.

One-Size-Fits-All Brushes

Many toothbrushes aren’t designed with sensory sensitivities, gag reflexes, or oral aversions in mind.

“Just Get It Done” Pressure

Rushing brushing often turns a daily task into a repeated power struggle.

How we make toothbrushing easier:

Sensory-Friendly Design

Soft, flexible bristles are designed to reduce discomfort and overwhelming sensations in the mouth.

Designed for Real-Life Routines

Gentle, effective cleaning without needing to scrub hard or rush through it.

Calmer Routines, Less Emotional Load

A small switch that helps reduce daily tension — for kids and parents.

Better for them.

Easier for you.

When toothbrushing feels gentler and more predictable, kids cope better — and parents don’t have to brace themselves for another struggle. Our Sensory Toothbrush was designed to support sensitive mouths while making daily routines simpler, quicker, and far less emotionally draining for you.

Hi, Amy here...

Founded by me in 2021, My Sensory Space is a female-founded, Australian-owned business based on the Gold Coast. We support children and adults with thoughtfully chosen sensory items designed to bring comfort, calm, and ease to everyday life. Trusted by over 400,000 customers, we’re here to make sensory support simple, supportive, and accessible.

'Because Brushing Shouldn’t Hurt'

I created our Sensory Hairbrush after struggling with my own hair snapping, breaking, thinning and hurting every time I brushed. Nothing felt gentle enough that still actually detangled, so I started designing one myself. Around the same time, my best friend’s daughter, who’s on the spectrum wouldn’t let anyone brush her hair without tears or meltdowns.

When she tried my prototype, everything changed. She stayed calm, brushed her own hair, and mornings suddenly felt easier. That moment showed me this wasn’t just a brush — it was a routine-changer. And that’s how the Sensory Hairbrush was born: designed for comfort, confidence, and calmer days for families like ours.
