3D printing pen: how to use
Follow these steps to get smooth, confident lines from your first draw.

Plug in and power on
- Connect your pen to power and switch it on.
- The display screen will light up.

Select your material
- Choose PLA or ABS using the material button.
- Make sure your filament matches your selected setting.
- Basic starting temperature: 200°C.
- Wait until the pen fully heats up before loading filament.

Load the filament
- Insert the filament into the back of the pen.
- Press the forward/load button.
- The pen will automatically draw the filament in.
- When melted plastic starts coming out of the nozzle, you're ready to draw.

Adjust the speed (side slide control)
- The speed control is on the side of the pen.
- Slide up to increase speed (more plastic flows out).
- Slide down to decrease speed (slower, more controlled flow).
- Start on a lower speed for smoother lines and better control.

Start drawing
- Hold the pen like a regular pen.
- Press and hold the extrusion button to release melted plastic.
- Move slowly and steadily for clean lines.
- Draw flat on paper or a silicone mat, then build upwards into 3D shapes.

Build in layers
- Allow each section to cool for a few seconds before adding more.
- Start with simple shapes before attempting detailed builds.
- Tracing over printed templates is great for beginners.

Change colour or turn off
- Press and hold the unload/back button to remove filament.
- Insert a new colour and repeat the loading process.
- When finished, unload filament and turn the pen off.
- Let the nozzle cool before storing.
Safety notes
- The metal nozzle reaches around 200°C. Do not touch the tip.
- Adult supervision recommended for children.
- Always switch off and unplug when not in use.
